Freedom!

Posted in Blogs on August 26th, 2004 by Brian – Be the first to comment

I’m as good as done with this term for school. I have to go back in Monday to finish some art project for sculpture. That’s more of a personal thing than a school thing, though.

Usability Assesment seemed to turn out alright. My final notebook thingy ended up being about 50 pages which was annoying, because it was a big waste of paper, but whatever.

Premeire… well, the class isn’t done with their project, but unless someone tells me that they need something from me I’ll have reason to believe that I’m done.

So this weekend is going ot be pretty rad because I’m going to do jack crap…. and next week too. I’ll have the house to myself for a few days so I’ll definately get to do whatever the hell I want. Hopefully I don’t get bored or lonely.

So yeah, it’s always awesome walking out of school after your last class knowing that you have a free week ahead of you.

Life is great and I am good. Hoorah.

Out.

A very good birthday present.

Today, sometime in the afternoon, your’s truly became the NUMBER 1 BRIAN FIELDS!!!
Shortly after commenting on the forums that I was number 2, another person replied that I was in first. I checked, and sure enough!!!
If you have no clue what I’m talking about, put “Brian Fields” in the google search box to the left and see for yourself. :)

The only question I have is where to go from here. :D

So yeah, today is my birthday. That is rad. Tonight My friends will be hanging out at the Fields’ residence. I wanted to hang out at Mike and Doug’s so I could have some REAL fun, but I have school at 10 tomorrow and I suppose that waking up by like, 8 to come home, get ready then go would be too much of a hassle. Damn.

School is over this week. As of Thursday, I will be free for a week. On the plus side, my parents will be out of town and I will enjoy it…

… but I have no clue what I’m going to do.

I have some homework that I should have gotten done this weekend, but of course I didn’t. I’m gonna have to get some of that done as soon as I’m done typing so that I don’t screw my class over tomorrow.
Our student film for Premeire was kinda cool, but now it’s kinda going everywhere. Our “Director” says everything is going great, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Saturday night I hung out a Mike’s with Joe and Kristen. We didn’t do much. Joe and Kristen passed out before midnight, so Mike and I just wondered around looking for something interesting to do. We didn’t find much.

Anyway, I gotta do that homework and clean up a bit before people come over.

Peace out.

Just relaxin’…

So tonight is the first night that I really feel lazy in a while. I don’t have any homework to really do right now. We’re in between projects in Premiere. (sort of. My part in the group project hasn’t come into play yet.) In Usability Assesment we have our testing tomorrow. We have to run a stupid test as part of a stupid project. It’s going to be preeeettttty bad.

So I’m sitting here with not quite nothing to do, but more of wanting to do nothing.

I sort of kind of got the school schedule thing worked out. Jason told me that I didn’t have to take Avid because I took After Effects. He told me that QuarkXPress was for certain being offered next term, and as far as this term goes, he’s going to try and get me into the projects class, but I’m also welcome to sit-in on any of his classes and whip up on everyone. That should be pretty rad and stuff.

So for now I’m going to contact the co-op co-ordinator and see if I can still line up a co-op, but I’ve got some good backup options if that doesn’t quite work. Hoorah!

10 days until my birthday :)

It is 10 days until my birthday. That is all I really had to say. Anyone wishing to get gifts for me can just give me some Captain Morgan’s Spice Rum. That would be sweet.

My parents are going out of town on the end of the month. I want to have some people over, that would be cool. Conviently, it is the same week that I am out of school! Hurrah!

I’ve been re-working the tutorials I have on the site to match the look fo the site. Hopefully that will help bump me to #1 on google. I really like that idea. ;)
If anyone has ideas for new tutorials, let me know. I’m working on one for photo restoration and it might be done by the end of next week.

Cincinnati State blows really bad. Of the 3 classes I have left to take, they are offering 1 this term, 0 next term, and who knows when they will be offered. I e-mailed Jason asking what I can do about this, but he hasn’t responded yet. I hope he gets back to me by the end of the weekend before things start closing up. So as it stands I’m going to have 4 credits next term and have to add on yet ANOTHER term to my schooling. Asses.

See ya.

Keeping busy

So the past week has been pretty busy. I’ve obviously found time to waste but I’ve had something going on the whole time.

For my Premeire class I was supposed to shoot some video at Mike’s place last Tuesday… but I couldn’t get a freaking camera because they were all out. I didn’t get one until Thursday, but of course I had something going on every night and I barely even touched the damn camera. So my project for premiere will have no live video, which is really not good, seeing as it is a video editing class.

Of course Usability Assesment is taking up my Wednesday nights. *Snore*. :(
Sculpture is going just fine. I’m doing well at sculpting things. It is neat.
School is really boring right now. It doesn’t even feel like I’m in school.

I’m going to my third concert in 2 weeks tonight. Not last Friday, but the previous Friday, Joe got me into the Projekt Revolution tour at Riverbend, which is Linkin Park’s summer tour. They were playing with Korn, Snoop Dogg and the Used, but I wasn’t there in time for the Used. Then on Monday I had to go with my cousins to see Evanescence. It was a good concert, but wasn’t spectacular. They really just played everything they did at the Columbus show last year plus a couple newer songs that of course no one knew. Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace and Seether opened for them. They were all good, but sounded the same. :-p

My younger cousin Jake stayed the night with me on Saturday after a party at my Aunt Maria’s. We got back to our place around 12:45, and started playing video games. Finally I told him it would probably be a good idea to get into bed since it was 2 O’clock. On Sunday I named off a few ideas of what we could do for the day and decided that he wanted to go the Wright-Patterson Air Force Museum, in Dayton. I loved that choice because I had been wanting to go for a while. I hadn’t been there in like, 10 years or so. It was really cool. Jake said he had fun there so that made me happy. :)

So yeah. Lots more going on, but that’s the highlights.

See ya.
