I met more celebrities.

I would have been scheduled 27 hours in a matter of 3 days if I hadn’t let Rob take 4 of them from me on Thursday. Still, closing then opening is pretty harsh. But I think I like it. You know me, I love challenges.

Okay… what’s happened in the past few days…

Not much happened Tuesday until after work. I went to Mike’s and bought Matrix Reloaded and watched it with him. I fell asleep in the last 15 minutes. I was pooped. I got home about 1:15 and climbed right into bed.

I woke up too early the next day. My mom seems to think that sleeping past 9 is stupid, just because she’s up at 6 in the morning. My theory is that in a matter of that 3 hours, she either a) gets angry because she couldn’t sleep that long or b) gets lonely being awake all by herself and wants to make me suffer by waking me up. Even still, I managed to stay in bed until 10, then I mostly just wasted time on the computer before leaving for Illustrator. Illustrator was somewhat enjoyable. Jason pointed out a few things that he’d like to see me fix on Michelle (which have haven’t really done anything to since Tuesday.)

We also got to talking about doing some things for the MID Group. “Technically” I’m the MID President, leader, whatever. But about this time last year, everyone who cared about the student group either totally lost intrest or graduated, and nobody has wanted to do anything. I’ve attemped to have 3 meetings since this happened, and the grand total for attendance (including myself) for all of the meetings combined is 6. To be bluntly honest, that’s depressing, because I spent plenty of time emailing notices and posting them around school, and no one really gave a damn. So we thought up some neat-o ideas and maybe we’ll get the chance to use them. The one that excited me the most was a game night, where we just hoard 228C for a night and play some video games, board games… eat pizza… whatever. Just be ourselves but at school, with everyone.

Anyway, I actually hung around school until 6:30, because I met Emily to go to a concert. We went to Bogarts to see Hanson. First off, they put on a damn good show, and I would go again if I had the chance. There is a reason it sold out. Secondly, before you go trashing Hanson, realize 2 things, one, that most people don’t like them simply because they were more successful before they were 20 than most people will ever be in their LIFE, and that while their musical ability isn’t God-like, they are very skilled with a variety of instruments and doa good job of harmonizing. Finally, I will defend Hanson for the sole reason that no one can give me one good reason why they suck. Not liking them is not a reason, and being annoyed by their music is not one, either. They’ve come a long way since MmmBop, which, mind you, came out when I was FRESHMAN IN HIGHSCHOOL, and a whopping 14 years old. Hanson was also in direct competition with groups such as the Spice Girls, which have more than broken up and been forgotten. Hanson has lasted.

To top off a great show… afterwords we waited around for them to come out. We got their autographs and shook hands with them, enough to be called meeting them. They were very friendly and answered questions as fast as they could make them out from the over-zealous crowd. Their new acoustic CD is now sitting on my desk with all three of their autographs on it, and I’m proud to say it. The CD is pretty awesome, too. Before you go knocking them, I suggest you at least check it out.. in specific the song “Deeper”. Soon, there will be a version of it out (probably all over the radio) with Michelle Branch playing and singing along. I Love Michelle. Funny enough, she got discovered opening for Hanson, so at the bear minimum, I owed it to them for bringing my psuedo-girlfriend into the light.

Thursday kinda sucked, I was just about to walk out the door to run some errands with my mom when Wendy’s called. I didn’t know I was supposed to be there at 11. My shift was 11-8, and I just wasn’t up to that, so I let Rob take the evening portion of my hours, which I was very grateful for him doing. I spent the night chillin’ at Mike and Doug’s (since Doug was there!). We played some games and watched some movies. It was great. I would have loved to not had anything to do Today so that I could have stayed longer, but I had class this morning.

It’s 2:19 now, and I have about 4 more hours of time left to sleep… so I’m gonna try and wrap this up.

School today was pretty eh-eh. I got there, and just like the other day, I spent an hour and a half driving to be somewhat dissappointed. There was no lecture. It was basically a day to work on our projects. Which was cool… but at the same time I just WASTED TIME and MONEY to go there and do what I could have done at any point in my day today. To top it off, I had to come home from Mike and Doug’s last night because of it.

After class, I grabbed a soda from the vending machine. Vanilla coke, of course. Right now, they are having one of the cap games, where “one in six wins a free twenty once coke!”. Before today, I had gotten a Vanilla Coke from that machine twice, both in the past couple of weeks, and won a free soda both times. Today, I got another one. Big deal, huh? But think about this… the “statistical” odds of that happening is 1 out of 216! But you also have to understand the odds that out of the hundreds of people who use that machine each day, I have gotten three winners, three times in a row, after trying ONLY three times. That just struck me as pretty amazing, and it gave me something to think about on my drive home.

That brings me up to work tonight. Nothing new, same old-same old… Becca was all moody because she was pissed that Jordan was being pissy because she was being pissy to him or something retarded like that. Whatever. I’m not touching that one any more than I have.

It is now 2:27, and I think it would be a good idea for me to get into bed, because there isn’t much more worth talking about.
